William & Mary is looking for a graphic designer to join the University Web & Design team. Our office provides a suite of creative services to support campus communication professionals including collaborative planning and management, concepts, design, writing and communications strategy.
Position Summary: Design and layout a variety of print and digital communication and marketing pieces (e.g., logos, fliers, programs, brochures, postcards, webpages, social media). Create design concepts and mockups (e.g., color palettes, custom banners, icons, and other design elements). Take ownership and manage projects directly with clients from beginning to end, including initial briefs and print production/delivery.
Specific Skills
Required Qualifications: — An undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience — Exceptional knowledge of graphic design principles and the creative process — Mastery of key Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) — Demonstrated experience and success producing thoughtful and compelling design concepts for a broad range of projects, including both print and digital design elements — Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with a commitment to excellence and an eye for detail — Exceptional customer service, presentation, problem solving and collaboration skills — Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and a knowledge of project management methodologies — Ability and willingness to quickly adapt to new technologies, and an interest in professional development and the learning of new skillsets — Knowledge of and experience with office productivity tools
