This year is just FLYING by! We have some very exciting updates for you on some changes at Studio Two Three, but those will come in a week or so. This email is just the really important, essential August (and some September) news you can use!
We are working with The Spark Mill on a strategic plan to help guide our next few years. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us through our strategic planning survey – we got a great sense of the direction you’d like to see for Studio Two Three as we embark upon our tenth year. Tues. August 6-9pWhat is a risograph? How do I register my prints? Layering colors! How to make fun zines! This class you’ll learn how to register your analog drawings with a riso making 1-3 color prints. With a small print exchange at the end of class. RISO FUN YEAH! Bring your sketchbook and your ideas with you. All materials will be provided.

Lumen Printing, with Maggie Flanigan, $75
Sat, August 10, 10a-4p
Lumen Prints are created through the use of natural sunlight and expired or fogged darkroom paper. Lumen Printing is a contact printing process and can be used with photo negatives, leaves and flowers, trash, bugs, lace, and anything else you can imagine! Create compositions with natural elements and use Photoshop to dust and color correct your prints. |

Pajaki Party!, with Elizabeth Cogar, $45

Hailing from a region in Poland, these colorful paper, and straw chandeliers are made to celebrate holidays and brighten up homes year round. Pajakis are fun to make and decorate with all kinds of odds and ends from our craft closet-tissue paper, yarn, washi tape, felt and more. Great for gifts or to make your own home festive. |

We are now accepting applications for new interns! DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS FRIDAY, AUGUST 16.
Internships provide career training for those looking to learn more about printmaking, photography, and the workings of a nonprofit art organization.
Studio Two Three interns can:
- Take any class at Studio Two Three free of charge during their internship
- Utilize our open studio membership program with personal storage space
- Pursue paid opportunities to teach workshops & field trips

TINY PRICKS RVA
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7, 2-9PM
In support of the global Tiny Pricks Project (www.tinypricksproject.com), a growing collection of hand-stitched words said by the American president, Tiny Pricks Project RVA will be held in Richmond at Studio Two Three, 3300 W. Clay St. in Scott’s Addition. Participants may drop in at any time to stitch quotes on vintage linens and submit them to the global project. Hosted by local stitchers Randee Humphrey and Elizabeth Cogar. Free and open to anyone. Questions? tinypricksprojectrva@gmail.com
