Pink Elephant Workshop with RikRack Embroidery

Join AIGA Richmond for our upcoming winter Pink Elephant Session. We will be creating our own embroidery hoop led by Riki! RikRack embroidery kits are the perfect crafty project! Drink tickets and light snacks will be provided. Street parking only, please allow time before the event to find parking. About the Artist: Riki Inge received her Master’s Degree in Textile Design and started her career working in embroidery and dying. She finds joy in the experimentation of combining her skills in various media; including photography, painting, and illustration to create artwork that exceeds the limitations of the flat surface. She currently works as an artist at World Art Group, a design and publishing company in Richmond, Virginia. Riki started designing the kits after the birth of her twin girls. She needed something she could work on with kids in her lap. “Embroidery is great because you can take it with you anywhere and it is always waiting patiently for you to pick it up again if you need to take a break.” Embroidery is easy to learn and can be a great way to add your creative touch to almost anything that can be stitched on. Even a few simple stitches can be used in a multitude of ways!
