One project has finished, but more are starting up! The Mezzanine plaster has been completed and painting has begun. There is also a lot happening up on the roof on the South East corner and South West corner of the building. And remember, if any of these processes interests you, we have our webinar series starting – The Branch House: Restoration for The Second Century. The first webinar is October 21st. Registration is “pay-what-you-can”. Click Here to check it out.
Look at how amazing the Mezzanine has turned out! If you want to learn more about the history of this room (who once lived here, the stories behind the motifs, etc) and the detailed process of restoring this plaster ceiling, make sure to register for “The Branch House Plaster” webinar happening November 11! Just Click Here.

Lots of scaffolding has gone up around the damaged chimney stacks, quite a different view from before. The chimney work is being done by Virginia Masonry Restoration. The name sound familiar? That’s because they are the same people who did the beautiful work creating our west gate into the parking lot! We are excited to have them working on the house again.

And most recently, we have had the scaffolding on the South West corner finally go up. More roof work to be done on that corner as well by Daniel and Company. If you’re interested in any of these projects, check out “The Branch House Roof, Trim, and Windows” ( Click Here to register for this webinar) and “The Branch House Brickwork & Mortars” ( Click Here to register for this webinar).

The chimney renovation is possible thanks to a generous grant from the Marietta McNeill Morgan & Samuel Tate Morgan Jr. Trust. Imagine what we could do with more donations from loyal supporters like yourself!
