Designing for Moving Targets
When even a bank considers itself to be a software company, we as designers and product managers must realize that the design is NEVER DONE. Before one redesign is fully implemented, the next is started. How can we design and develop software for a moving target? How can we optimize features for multiple distinct versions at once? How can we learn to live with, and even love a life where re-platforming becomes the norm? Hope Norman and Rob Thompson will discuss this new reality from opposing perspectives: new vision, old features versus old vision, new features. They will address some of the techniques they have used at Capital One to keep moving forward while minimizing design friction.
