The Power of The Personal Project

Artist Noah Scalin transformed his life and career by spending a year creating his Skull-A-Day project. In the past several years Noah has spent time talking to people across the globe, in all walks of life, about the benefits of creative practice applied to personal passions. Again and again he's seen that the effort pays off exponentially, but the trick is getting started.

In this informal session, at the start of the year, you'll have a chance to talk about your own back-burnered projects that you wish you had more time to do. Come prepared to share and get the encouragement & support of fellow creatives to start on a path to making your creative dreams a reality in 2015!

Free and open to members and non-members. Seating is first come, first served.

Noah Scalin (http://noahscalin.com/) is an artist, author, and activist. Noah is also the creator of the Webby Award winning art project Skull-A-Day (http://skulladay.com/). His fine art has been exhibited in museums and galleries internationally, including the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia, the International Museum of Surgical Science in Chicago, and Krause Gallery in NYC. His work has been featured in dozens of publications including Wired, Boing Boing, USA Today, The Telegraph, and multiple articles in the New York Times. He co-runs the art & innovation consulting firm Another Limited Rebellion (http://alrdesign.com/) and is a sought after public speaker on creativity via the company he co-founded, The Alternative Speakers Bureau (http://altspeakers.com/). He is the author of five books including Skull-A-Day from Chop Suey Books Books, which features all 365 of his original daily skull art creations.
