Instructor: Alisha & Barney Abramson

Creative work is high-visibility work. Your ideas, taste, and expertise are constantly evaluated, which makes it easy to burn out or fall into imposter syndrome without realizing it’s happening. Protecting your energy isn’t optional. It’s required for a sustainable creative practice.

Burnout shows up as emotional, cognitive, and creative signals that many designers overlook until it’s too late. Imposter syndrome thrives when your work is always on display. And when stress builds up during the workday, most of us don’t have practical tools to reset and move forward.

Instructors Barney Abramson (award-winning creative director) and Alisha Abramson (licensed marriage and family therapist) will share practical tools and real-world examples from high-pressure creative environments.

You’ll learn:

• How to recognize the early warning signs of creative burnout

• Tools for managing imposter syndrome and reframing self-doubt in high-visibility work

• The 3-Minute Creative Reset: a technique to regulate your nervous system, clear mental overload, and regain focus

For AIGA members who want to do their best work without burning out in the process.
