DESCRIPTION
McGuireWoods has the need for a Graphic Designer to join its firm-wide Marketing and Business Development team in one of the following cities: Richmond, VA, Charlotte, NC, or Chicago, IL. This role is responsible for designing high-quality print and digital graphics to support the firm's business development, marketing, outreach, public relations, project-specific and communication activities. The ideal candidate will possess superb people skills, with an eye for graphic design, while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

•Employs basic layout principles and knowledge of graphic design software to develop layouts consistent with the firm’s brand standards and design grid
•Collaborates with project manager and brand supervisor to set short and long term needs of internal graphics department
•Prepares files for production ensuring that pre-press and output requirements are met
•Proofreads and reviews all materials for accuracy and consistency with brand guidelines
•Coordinates with external print vendors to solicit bids and maintain competitive pricing strategies
•Collaborates closely with the marketing communications team and other department members to ensure the success of firm-wide design and branding initiatives
SPECIFIC SKILLS
•Requires Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Fine Arts and two to three years desktop publishing experience and/or training; emphasis on layout and design
•Understands and is fluent with graphic design software packages such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and others
•Knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred
•Knowledge of branding a plus
•Able to design, layout, typeset and coordinate production of printed marketing materials
