The King of Simple, Passionate, Creative Design.
The Queen whose heart is an intersection of Culture, Craft, and Community.
The Jack of Intuitive Interaction and Meaningful Media.
For one night only, you can find all three at Judge Not. Held in conjunction with GRADE (the Greater Richmond Awards for Design Excellence), Judge Not introduces the judging panel to the Greater Richmond community, and provides an excellent opportunity to tap into design talent from outside our area.
This year, AIGA Richmond is proud to host a VCU alumnus and two board members from AIGA National as our judges for GRADE 2007. They are James Early, Threespot (Washington, DC), Laurie Churchman, Designlore and The University of Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh), and Steve Hartman, Creativille (Edwardsville, IL).
As an art director and part of Threespot’s collaborative design team, James Early has created and stewarded identity and interactive design solutions for a wide range of clients.
Laurie Churchman is the principal of Designlore, a place for thinking, making and writing about design. She is also an Assistant Professor of Fine Arts, Graphic Design, at the University of Pennsylvania.
Steve Hartman is President, Creative Director of Creativille, a design firm that specializes in strategic communications and brand building for companies with a unique voice.
